Kay Steele Faulk lives and works in the heart of the Mississippi River Delta—the area known for producing more good writers per square foot than anywhere else on the planet. With over ten years’ experience as a business writer/editor, magazine features writer/editor, copywriter and Web content provider, Kay writes for clients throughout the U.S. in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors.
Her work includes special reports, feature articles, direct response sales letters for print, Web and email marketing, press releases, brochures, newsletters, case studies, fundraising copy, technical manuals and other MarCom tools.
A 2000 cum laude graduate of Kentucky’s Midway College, Kay has a B.A. in English with a minor in psychology. During her undergraduate years she won a number of writing awards.
A former investment broker, Kay once spent six years writing a novel. Today, she finds copywriting the perfect blend of her marketing and writing skills with her love for a good story.
Kay's enjoyment of her work is apparent in the articles she writes for chamber of commerce lifestyle magazines. "Interviewing residents is such fun," she said. "My challenge is to make their stories come alive on the page so that readers come away from a chamber magazine with a real sense of the town’s human qualities. That's what turns readers into new residents!"
